Do you love playing games? When I was little, my family didn’t often play games. Although an occasional turn at Clue, or when I was younger yet, Mouse Trap, managed to delight us for an hour or so.
Games challenge the mind, inspire team work, and rev up one’s desire for accomplishment. All great things.
In high school and college, games took on a role in determining social compatibility. We didn’t sit around a table with a board anymore. At least, not as often. Remember creating a list of crazy, sometimes impossible things, and sending your co-conspirators down the street to beg said items off the unsuspecting neighbors? Yeah, the ever-fun-loving scavenger hunt.
When you’re not trying to beg your neighbor to unplug and unwrap their front yard display for your little game, it can be fun. *grins*
*I’m currently one of the sponsors of the Find Your Next Great Read Scavenger Hunt.
