Where has everyone gone? Oh, wait. I’m the one who went missing!! MIA-me and Thor. Where have we been? You’re not thinking we ran off together, or are you? Nooo. That’s just silly. If you’ve been following this blog, then you know Thor is somewhere in Canada and I am not.
Maybe I’m hanging out with Chris Hemsworth. Alright, you got me. That’s it.
Hahahaha. You didn’t fall for that, did you? He’s just far too fine for me. A lady has certain requirements. Mine – the man cannot be finer. It will mess with my insecurities on a daily basis, I’m just sayin’. 😉
But seriously, I’ve been hiding in my writer’s cave again. I crawled out a few times to gaze upon the vast twitter and Facebook world and was quickly overwhelmed with the amount of messages and posts (that sometimes happens). I didn’t know where to begin so I did nothing. Instead I crawled back in my writer’s cave.
BUT…and this is a big…I got the most amazing message from my twitter and blogger pal, Susie Lindau. You might know her from Susie Lindau’s Wild Ride. If you don’t, I highly suggest you check out her fun blog. It turned out she was going to be in my neck of the woods (sort of). I couldn’t let that happen and not see her. Several writer/blogger pals pulled together for an amazing evening. We met up at the very unique Renee’s Courtyard Cafe in Santa Monica. In addition to Susie, I got to meet Debra Eve from Late Bloomer, and had the chance to spend some quality time with August McLaughlin and Lynn Kelly, as I’d met them both briefly before. While we were wining, dining and laughing up a storm I caught wind of Thor landing at the home of Deliberately Delicious. Thor and Sally wasted no time getting acquainted and hit the town immediately. What’s the story?

Oh, but wait. Do you know what happened? Lean in closer. Can you keep a secret? We don’t want to hurt Sally’s feelings.
You know how Thor can fly, right? He’s got that whole wind, lightening, swinging hammer action. He got wind of our little gathering and became intrigued. When Sally and her gal pals weren’t looking he stepped away for few minutes and flew in to woo us. I have to admit we were left a little breathless.
Although, with the way he kept gazing at the lushes lollipop Lynn gave him, one would think we all came in a close second, behind the pretty little candy.
And then he was gone, leaving us sad and empty. Our state of withdrawal left us wide open for him. His own jealousy drew him in.
“You will kneel before me!” Loki bellowed as he appeared on the scene.
What were we to do? He was a god.
We all went out of our way to make the famous trickster as comfortable as possible. This actually bored him. Finding little challenge with us weaker beings, he too, left. And then there were none. Sigh.
Those boys. Have you ever had to deal with jealous siblings? What will Thor have in store for us next time? Do you think we’ve seen the last of Loki? Until then, my friends.

Crazy moments of immaturity! I love it! Those are the best moments, especially with girlfriends. 🙂 Thor’s latest adventure is hilarious. I’m not sure how he managed to sneak away from Sally!
I’m glad Loki got to have a little fun, too–at least until he got bored. LOL.
Maybe Thor figured out Loki was able to be in two places at once and was able to replicate it. 😉 Or not. Sally has to sleep sometime. Right? We must watch out for the trickster god. He’s a trouble maker.
I will have to keep my eye on Thor when he finally makes it to Texas. If he’s replicating Loki tricks, we may all be in trouble. 😛

Ahhh, Loki. That wicked little smile. He certainly is a trickster. I need to head over and read what Thor’s been up to in his adventures. I can’t believe I missed him! Dang it. If I’d known Thor and Loki were going to be there… well, I still couldn’t make it. Next time.

You’re right, they almost are. They were having too much fun. Love it! I really enjoyed meeting all of you as well. I’m so glad we all got together. I hope we can do it again sometime in the future.
To say I am shocked, would be an understatement! But am I surprised… No. To infect those sweet women with your mindless obsession over a 6″ piece of plastic… well, it borders on unmentionable. Especially, that innocent from the backwoods of Colorado. Do you see her in that photo??? I thought he was in Canada.
Oh My God! I just went to the Noted Sand Dollar Collector in Victoria, B.C.’s blog to see if Thor is really there… he is, and having the time of his life it seems… How are you going to top that, Debra? He is only 21 miles away from me at the moment. I would have her send him over on the ferry, but I’m leaving my writer’s cave for Hawaii tomorrow.
I know! I can’t top Sally. She’s amazing! You are aware that Thor can fly, right? And really fast at that. I leave for Hawaii in 14 days. Should have arranged to have him meet me there. Oh well. He’s going to miss out. Hey! Thinking of jumping on tomorrow’s FF. Already wrote up couple to choose from.
