Thor throws back his head in a mighty roar of laughter. He is delighted with your participation in the immortal game. He is especially happy to see the ladies present. 
He has decided to share his adventures of the previous week with you. (Make sure you stay long enough to catch the new challenge at the end.) At Thor’s urging, Monkey and I stepped out into the garage and fired up the old red beastie.
After writing our names in the thick layer of dust that covered the beast and with a trunk full of old, tired electronics we made our way down the street…
…across town, and ventured as far as the neighboring city where we found a sponsored event collecting and recycling old electronics. Thor, proud we had worked to help the environment almost smashed a pile of old monitors with his hammer in a rush of excitement.
To celebrate our good deed for the day, Monkey convinces Thor to swing by her favorite shop. Can you guess where that might be?
That’s right! Dooohnuts. Thor raises his brow at all the empty calories. But alas, the smile on the little ones face undoes him. He gives in and takes a bite of the sugary cake. Ugh! There will be more hammer lifts in his future to work off that treat.
YAY for Tameri, Imelda and Paige!!!
While out and about we happen upon an Art Walk. It’s great when you get out and explore your world. This is where stories can truly take flight! On a whim we decide to take a gander. Monkey got to make some art of her own while we were there. But Thor was asked to leave the table after making a mess in the paints with his big boots and hammer. Here are just a few of the things we got to see…
Descending upon a sea of white tents…
We found them filled with a multitude of various arts.
We scored Italian ice.
That turned our tongues funny colors
And ran into a half-naked bird!
Poor bird. 🙁
Monkey made her first true art purchase during our exploration. She scored a print on canvas featuring a cat walking along the top of a white wall in Greece. It’s simply lovely.
As the day came to a close and the sun dropped his head down for a nap…
…we headed back to our own neighborhood, content with a full day of activities behind us.
Now don’t you go worrying too much about Thor and that donut. We got him back on a proper diet right away. We all understand how important the right fruits and grains are. 😉
Congratulations to Tameri Etherton, Imelda Evans and Paige Kellerman! You ladies rocked it! 😀 If you haven’t visited these most excellent ladies on their home turf, I suggest you do so. They are very much visit worthy.

I apologize for the late posting of this challenge. I was experiencing both WP picture issues and week-long migraines. As a result, I will be holding Friday’s post back till next week. It is clear to me that Thor has met a new godlette and wants to impress her with how many people-movers he can bench-press before breakfast. (Also, after the visit to the doughnut place, he has to get in a few extra reps. He’s got pecs to protect!) Judging by the concentrated look on his face, I’d say he’s already done a few. Go Thor! Do it for the ladies! Gimme a T! T!…

It looks like to me Thor is working off the doughnut by bench pressing the car. That’s him picking it up by the tire :-D. Love the muscles rippling as he works out. You go Thor!

What’s he doing now? Well… he was out and about one day when he came across the Millennium Falcon on this strange planet. It had broken down (again!) and while Han was trying to get the insides fixed, Chewbacca was supposed to fixing the outside flap down thingies that help it land. Unknown to Han, Chewie had been hit on the head and was out cold. Thor flew down there to see what was up and, finding Chewie asleep on the ground, went inside the MF to chat with Han. They got Chewie all set up and comfy in a bed before going back to work on the MF. Thor, being able to lift the whole thing with his pinky, was not only able to reset the flap down landing thingies, he smacked his hammer on the control panel to give her a good boost of energy.
Being eternally grateful to Thor, Han let him hang out with them while they smuggled stuff around the galaxy. Just before landing on Tattooine, Thor got a call from home saying Loki was causing trouble, so he said good bye to his new friends and went home. If only he’d stayed another day the entire Star Wars saga would’ve been altered. Strange how Fate sneaks in every so often, isn’t it?
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. You have appealed to my love of all things Star Wars. You are a geek after my own heart. Now I am left trying to imagine Star Wars with Thor in it. LOL. Han may have had competition for Leia’s heart. A scoundrel against a god. Hmmm. My goodness woman! You are rockin’ amazing!
Wow, you guys had a great day. Okay, so, last I heard Thor was counting the grains of sand on a beach nearby. He and Loki are playing a game trying to guess the right number.

Somewhere, in the back of my mind, is a memory trying very hard to push forward, but it’s just stuck at the edge. I’ve had something in the past with a wooden adjusting thing like that, only whatever it was was a lighter color, which may be why I can’t a hold on it. So I’m going to have to go with this….Thor is putting up a baby gate to keep any new strays out of your house. He has misplaced his hammer and doesn’t like the thought of becoming a chew toy. 🙂
I can completely understand Thor not wanting to be a chew toy. Who would? I think I know what you are talking about. I used to joke that we lived in a gated community when the kids were younger because we had so many of them up. It was crazy.

Thanks for the mention! Clearly Thor’s up against Gasguzzelus this week. Not satisfied with using up the entire gas station supply in one go, Gasguzzelus is trying to drive over Thor’s prize winning lego exhibit, not that Thor’s ever going to let that happen.

Sweet sugary doughnutty goodness! How could Thor resist? Thank you for the mention! 🙂 This week, Thor is saving his companions, Volstagg, Sif and Hogun. They have been captured by Giant Hamster of Ruin! The GHoR has them stuffed into his Kia Soul and has attempted to speed off into the darkest reaches of the universe screaming “Do Wah Dippity!” Giant Hamster forgot he had the God of Thunder to contend with; Thor would never let his closest friends be so taken.
I should tap your brain for names. Dang. 😀 I laughed out loud at the vision of them stuffing it all into their Kia Soul. You are cracking me up. Thinking of you this week. Hope you are healing fast and reading this soon.

First off, can I just say that you, my dear, are an awesome mom? I want someone to pick me up and take me to see cool stuff and get me Italian ice and buy me doughnuts…sigh. Speaking of doughnuts, does this lady know one when she sees it or what??? So, obviously, me and Thor love doughnuts, so we’d be a perfect match for each other…simply stating the obvious.
We drive to the next town for those doughnuts. They are pretty mouth watering delicious. Oh, wait. I’m sorry. They taste like poison. 😛 Thank you for your very kind compliment. I merely squeak by in the mommy category.
Good to know that Thor and Monkey got back to a good diet before Ginger got a hold of them. LOL! Looks like quite a nice day was had by all. Now for this weeks episode, Thor looks to me as if he’s holding up the bridge that could lead the enemy over the moat in order to protect the castle of his Queen. 🙂
Yes. You know we all need to be on the look out for Ginger. She will kick our butts!
