It has been a very busy and exciting week at my house. My daughter, Monkey, is Super Star at school for the entire week! She’s extremely thrilled to be sharing all about herself and her family with her entire class. We made a life size painting of her over the weekend and surrounded it with pictures that were important to her – because monkeys are terribly sentimental, this you should know. She got to use a teddy bear tipped pointer to direct everyone’s attention to each picture as she talked about them in turn. Her pointing technique looked a little something like this…
I had to duck and cover in order to protect my eyes! ~Silly Monkey.
I was also given the opportunity to come into the class and read a special letter that her father and I had written especially for her. She could hardly contain herself and upon my arrival leapt from her chair attaching herself to me in a manner much like this…
~Funny Monkey!
Would you like to see our resident super star? The Monkester?

This is Monkey’s week! To compliment her ginormous honor at school I have allowed her to hijack my blog. What does that mean for you, the reader? You will get an eye full of holiday gift ideas all properly suited for the Monkey in your life. Why? Because this Monkey can’t stop talking about her wish list and what Santa might bring.
A little music for your shopping experience.
Possible monkey gift ideas you never cared to know about:

There you go! Thirty things you never cared to know about. I had to pull the plug on my little primate. She would keep throwing pictures at you indefinitely. There’s a lot of monkey stuff out there when you go looking for it. If you saw something you liked, all items shown above can be located at Amazon.com. May you have some fun monkeying around this holiday season!
Monkey apologizes for making Wednesday’s post late, although she could truly care less. She was busy “Super Starring” and putting on her big Holiday program at school. Busy, busy! You know how it is. 😉
~Monkey out.
Too adorable, Debra! I can’t take my eyes of “Funny Monkey” himself… And strange as it may sound, I know people who may actually go ape-banana-crazy for these items. 😉 Congrats to your ‘lil super star and thanks for another fun post!
Thank you August. It’s like living with royalty this week. LOL I imagine you are right. There are plenty of people that would love a swinging monkey gift. 🙂
Too cute, Debra! I hope your Monkey had a really great day. Terrific post!
Thank you Christine! She’s been having a great day and week. I think she’ll be slightly sad to see it end. But then, she’ll be off school for two weeks so she’ll have that. 🙂 Thank you for the shiny compliment!
That was more fun than a barrel of humans. Who knew there was so much monkey business goin’ on?
Monkeys are always entertaining! Haven’t you heard Mike? 😀 Now that we know about all the monkey business we can keep our ears open and be more aware. *shifts eyes from side to side*
Congrats to your Monkey, Debra. Gotta run. That flash drive is calling my name.
Thanks Pat. Hopw you getting some great work done.
Monkey see, monkey do? 🙂 Very cute!
She does try to emulate everything she sees. Need to be careful with this one.
I wonderif Monkey Brains are better than Gorilla Boogers?
Why don’t you test that and get back to us. We are all eager to find out. LOL
Oh, too cute! I want that little real monkey attached to the finger!! For real 🙂
Isn’t he just the cutest thing ever! I want him too. But I bet he’ll still fling pooh like any other monkey as he gets bigger. 😀
Congrats to your super star!
Who knew there were so many cute monkey things?
🙂
My your monkey has a big list. Very cute Debra. 🙂
wow – what a lot of cute monkey things for kids…who knew? she’s a cutie and mom is deservedly proud of her superstar.
Wow a special time in Monkey’s life! So cool! I love that monkey bomber hat, and those knitted slippers. And lots of those monkey items. Tell Monkey she done good! I was expecting a Barrel of Monkeys, too! What a fun post.
I’m surprised there’s no Screaming Monkey on that list! Fun, perfect for the office (or school). No one sleeps on the job!
I LOVE monkeys. Those flash drives are soo cute 🙂
I love the monkey pictures. I could look at the monkey-themed stuff all day. We had a monkey birthday party for my son. I made several variations of the monkey cupcakes. Also had a monkey sheet cake and a monkey smash cake. I admit I got a little monkey crazy.
Though I’m an animal lover to the extreme, live monkeys (not chimps) completely freak me out. However, I love, love, love monkey merchandise. In seeing these items (particularly the band-aids) I am fighting a fierce battle with my willpower at this very moment.
I bet your little monkey was just adorable during her super star week!
Thank you everyone! Monkey, with mommy’s help, didn’t want to do the expected and pick the barrel of monkeys or screaming monkey. We actually already have a screaming monkey in resident! LOL Any who… It’s her last day as “Super Star” so she thanks you all for your kind words.
Stacy – that sounds like a really fun party you put on for your son. It’s easy to go a little crazy when we are planning those parties, isn’t it?
Angie – live monkeys can be a little intimidating. They are very unpredictable and don’t always play nice. I can completely understand how they would freak you out. I was actually bitten by a chimp once. Although I don’t hold it against all chimps, I am very cautious when it comes to the primate.
I just love the monkey with the AK-47. Thanks Debra!!
You’re welcome Colin. I can’t believe they were foolish enough to hand the chimp a loaded weapon. *fail* LOL
