Inspiration Becomes You

There comes a time in each of our lives when we suffer from a feeling of defeat or lack of self-worth. We worry and begin to doubt if we have what it takes to make it in this world. We’re uncertain of our ability to achieve our goal – that main objective.

I have seen a lot of posts lately about goals not being met, a lack of inspiration, and feelings of stress or pressure weighing down upon people. Times are stressful, I’ll give you that, but we all make a conscious choice as to what we let affect us and to what degree. This post is to remind you (and me) that you can become anything you set your mind to. You simply need to believe in it enough and want it bad enough that you keep working towards that goal and/or dream every day without falter. Never cease, but continue forward through each pitfall and failure to the prize waiting ahead. That is the path to amazing you seek.

It’s all about perseverance. Sticking it out and holding your head up when things get rough, through all the failures and rejections, long enough to reach your goal.  That’s the difference between the one who succeeds and the one who fails. The successful person stuck it out for however long it took to reach the desired goal. The failure simply gave up.

So for all my wonderful peeps out there, no matter what it may be you are looking to excel and succeed in, I offer you this small glimpse of inspiration…

That was just a little example of what a healthy dose of I can attitude can achieve. I hope the video gave you just the jolt of super-sized strength and inspiration necessary to tally forth! And so, for you I have this special dedication:

Don’t you feel completely uplifted now? You should. The first time I saw both these videos I couldn’t help but smile inside. I was in awe from the one and totally peeped up by the other.

Now, in the spirit of all things positive in the blogosphere, Samantha Warren of Deadliest Catch is hosting a fabulous blog scavenger hunt to ring in her 30th birthday at the beginning of December. Is that not a cool idea or what? That’s right around the corner folks. Start planning now if you would like to participate.

This should be a lot of fun for anyone who chooses to play. You do not have to be a blogger to search the blogs and find the clues. And there will be prizes! You can check this cool event out at her digs. There will be clues handed out and a list of participating blogs.

I hope this post has left you inspired and ready to achieve anything you set your mind to. Remember, you are amazing! Together, as a team, you become an unstoppable force. Be an amazing unstoppable force. Will you go forth and pay forward the inspiration today?

Wonderful post…and so true. The first thing that came to my mind as I was reading was Dan Jansen. It was like that guy had a jinx or curse on him, but he persevered…and finally won that Olympic gold medal. I remember watching that final event and crying because I was so happy for him. And let me tell you, the only skating I enjoy is figure skating. But his story touched me so much, I added speed skating that year.

People need to remember that very few will achieve success their first try. It almost never comes without failing at least once. Winston Churchill said, ‘Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.’ So if we can put it in perspective, take it for the learning experience it is, we’ll get there.

LOVED the water balloon in slow motion! Freaky with the yes though. I never want that to be one of my goals. 🙂

LOL. I love, “Freaky with the yes though. I never want that to be one of my goals.” I think we are free to set our own goals. That is not one of mine either. Ha ha.

Great example sited! And you know why you now like that sport? Because it was a people story that inspired you, not a sports story. People are what inspire and he was inspiring. Fantastic Kristy, thanks for sharing. Glad you liked the video. 🙂

    Another great post Debra!

And to think of all that you have going on in your own life you can still be inspirational. So you’re a cup half full girl, are ya? You have my respect.

Yes, we all have a tremendous amount of negativity in our lives these days, yet it’s always helpful to dwell on the things we should be grateful for.

    Thank you Debra!

Wow, so needed to hear this! I just went to the gym yesterday and last 15 minutes on the cycle and wondered how in the heck I was going to ride 150 miles come spring:( I’ll just tackle it one day at a time I guess. Thank you for the great post and reminder to stay positive and not give up.

You can do it Kara! One step at a time, little by little, you will get there. Remember, on the day of the event your adrenaline will kick in. That will help.

Inspired, indeed, Debra! I love what you say here: “Remember, you are amazing! Together, as a team, you become an unstoppable force. Be an amazing unstoppable force.” Simply reading such inspiring words can go a long way toward revving our engines.

I spent most of the day resting today—a rare occurrence that I should probably strive for more often. Today, it felt necessary…as though doing more than walking my dog and writing for an hour would feel like lifting a semi-truck with my bare hands. Looking forward to paying it forward inspiration-wise tomorrow! 😉 Stay well, talented lady.

Aw, thanks so much August. We have a great team built up and so we, as a group, have a great advantage already. We have the support of that team already in place. 🙂 We can help propel each other to success!

It’s good to be lazy some days. We all need our time off.

Times are certainly difficult for many. I’m one of the lucky ones, I guess and yet I’ve mucked around this weekend, failing to get much done so far. but after reading this post, I’m going to get my edits done, as planned.

thanks for the smile and the inspiration.

Don’t feel guilty about mucking around. Like I just said to August, we all need that time to decompress. But if you decided to take on the edits I hope you were extremely productive! Glad I could bring a smile to your face. 😀

You’re right. It is a mindset. We all have choices. We can allow or disallow something to become the obstacle that trips us up. Nice reminder. We can all use that. Thanks, girl!

I think the answer to that Shelia is that the human emotion is much like a roller coaster. Like I mentioned in my sister’s tribute post, grief is an emotion. All emotions ride the roller coaster. That’s why sometimes we are on the high and ready to blaze ahead while other times we need a little help. I’m glad I could add to your inspirebox today. Have a wonderful evening!
