Too Pooped to Pop

Who said that line anyway? When I looked it up I got lyrics by Chuck Berry, a slogan by cartoon characters from the 1980’s called the Popples and a song called “The Popcorn Song” originally recorded in 1955. Well, that’s me, too pooped to pop.

Ever feel like every bone in your body had been trampled by a 350 pound football player?
Knocked around like a bumper car and left to rust and fall apart? Has your head been shoved tight with a thousand cotton balls or your chest stepped on while you are trying to breathe?  Okay, you probably get the idea.

All that is me right now. Lovely, wonderful me – mommy, trying to make snacks, do homework, do dinner, read and write blogs, and still fit my book in there somewhere. Well, guess what? Not happening for a bit. This little blogger is curling up in bed
where she belongs until the cold has left the building. This blog probably won’t get promoted because I’ll be sleeping. But it’s here if you come looking.

In the meantime I wish you all well and pray you stay healthy as the season starts to change. Don’t get sick like me. It sucks. 🙁

I’ll be back soon with a new piece…hopefully. Until then, toodles.

Thank you, all, for your kind words and well wishes. My body needed lots of rest, but I am now on the road to recovery. My husband will see that I take it easy for the next day or so. Hahaha. He thinks I push myself too hard. Where would he get that idea? *She rolls her eyes around the room*
